To Our Potential New Members:  We are excited that you found us and are interested in the Active 20-30 Club of Merced!  We are a young club with big ideas! As our group grows in number, our ability to help kids  in the community, support other local charities, and throw bigger and better events  increases dramatically! We welcome new faces, new perspectives, and new ideas and hope  that you will consider joining us in helping to make a difference in this community!  Keep  reading to find out important information about becoming a member and being a part of  the Active 20-30 Club of Merced. General Information:  The Merced Active 20-30 Club was re-chartered in August 2005. Active 20-30 Club is an  internationally recognized club with individual clubs throughout the world (for  more  information visit the national website at www.active20-30.com.) Our mission is  to  provide young adults with an opportunity for personal growth, friendships, and leadership  development while improving the quality of life for the children in our community. In  short, we enjoy getting together for social activities while providing services and funding  for deserving children in our area. We meet the first Wednesday of each month at the  Branding Iron. We socialize from 6:00- 6:30 p.m. and our monthly business meeting  starts at 6:30. We also have a social event once a month, which varies in location and  activity. Past socials have included: poker tournaments, Beers from Around the World  night, bocce tournaments, bowling, karaoke, driving range, and many more. Annually, we  host a Wine Tasting fundraiser, a Margarita Booth at the Merced Fair, build a float for the  Merced Christmas Parade, and Child Spree (where we take a large group of  underprivileged kids back to school shopping)!  To Become a Member:  If you live in the greater Merced area and are age 21 through 39, you are eligible to  become a member. You must be sponsored by a current member (more than likely the  person who first told you about the club). If you don’t know anyone in the club, send us an  email (info@merced2030.com) and we would love to meet you! Once you’ve attended a  few socials, meetings or events, you can decide if the club is right for you. Then, you can  complete an application, pay the annual membership fees and start helping the  community (and having a great time along the way)!   Membership Fees:  We pay $100 once a year (due Sept 1st). Depending upon when you join, dues will be  prorated. In addition there is a one time new member fee, imposed by the National  Organization, of $35. On the first Wednesday of the month, we each pay $10 for dinner  and beer! Please contact any of our members for further information. Hope to see you  soon!
